Middle East
The Middle East or sometimes refered as Near East is a region which encompasses Western Asia and North East Africa comprising of different ethnic groups as Arabs, Persians, and Turks whitch have the largest populations while Kurds, Azeris, Copts, Jews, Assyrians, Maronites, Circassians, Somalis, Armenians, Arameans and Druze the ethnic groups with minor but significant populations in the region.
Some Middle East countries face problems in disaster preparedness and are unable to cooperate with neihboring coutries in disaster response. They are affected by natural disaster such as earthquakes, floods, landslides and drought without exluding the posibility for manmade disarsters. They face very high risk from earthquakes with concentrated populations around fault lines and only lately have started assessing hospital responce for earthquakes

According to reports the last 25 years the region has suffered 276 disasters of diferent types in which 100,000 people have died, 10 million affected and 1.5 million were left homeless.
Besides modern geopolitical evolutions in the wider Middle East region have contributed in the instability overall. following the arab revolt in 1916 against the Ottoman Empire ( allied with Germany) independent Arab states in the region were established including Palestine. Soon after the declaration for the establishment of "a Jewish state in Palestine" was announced resulting
to major problems which continue until today.
